Position: Environmental Co-ordinator, Halcrow
My role: My role is to manage and co-ordinate the environmental aspects and issues associated with this scheme. My day to day tasks will range from ensuring adequate surveys of sensitive receptors are undertaken to the development of monitoring regimes. I will also be in constant liaison with the designers and engineers to ensure that adequate environmental mitigation measures are an integral part of the designs. I will also be making sure the legal requirements of the scheme are satisfied through the production of suitable environmental documentation. I will be liaising with the relevant statutory undertakers, local council representatives, The Duchy of Cornwall and other interested parties, such as local people, through an external consultation process. I also hope to attend any public exhibitions that are planned as part of the scheme, in order to meet some of you in person. I hope that my role will ensure that the environmental issues that surround the scheme are highlighted and that what we are doing to address these issues is as transparent as possible to the community as a whole.
